(Time Is) Apocalypse Pocket Edition Obsessed And The Seasons Pass Dream In Motion 487.2 Sunday. Morning. Poison Inside I'm Right The Picture Summary Parade Morning Mirror Postcard From Pisa

Combining jittery beats, spidery guitar lines and almost paranoid vocals, We Yes You No are a band that revel in a sense of surrealism, a band that throws more than a wink and nod to bands like the The Flaming Lips and Mercury Rev.
With new album MUSIC FOR BEGINNERS, We Yes You No make a suitably strange and beguiling noise; opener (TIME IS) starting things off in gloriously off kilter ways.  APOCALYPSE POCKET EDITION features warped guitar effects and fragile vocal melodies, We Yes You No definitely keeping things left of centre and steeped in the surreal.
AND THE SEASONS PASS is awash with militaristic drum patterns, off key piano chords and psychedelic guitar licks, those cracked fragile vocals again keeping things in gloriously weird check, the strange combination of Wayne Coyne, Jonathan Donahue and David Bowie.  DREAM IN MOTION employs stuttering vocal melodies and dubby bass rumbles, the whole thing abruptly erupting into a massive anthemic chorus, perhaps the closest We Yes You No will come to delivering a radio friendly pop hit.
Songs like 487.2, SUNDAY. MORNING. POISON and THE PICTURE continue We Yes You No's mission to perfectly combine the strange and the beautiful, the band rooting proceedings in a certain surreality and dreamlike ambience that creates a David Lynch like world view, disembodied piano chords and scattershot drum beats vying for your attention while the vocals sound at their most fractured and fragile.
We Yes You No create a soundscape of weird paranoia and fractured atmospherics.  While some songs edge towards an indie-rock conventionality, this is a band that sound most at home and alive when forging ahead with surreal ambience and disjointed song structures.  We Yes You No sound like the missing link between Mercury Rev and The Flaming Lips and with MUSIC FOR BEGINNERS deliver an album that finds the perfect combination of the strange, the beautiful, the compelling and the beguiling.

BIOGRAPHY
Hello. We are new/old and packed in too much plastic. We try to mean something.
We sound like words, tones and notes - but better. We play atmospheric, eccentric
and melodic songs, and try to tell people that the world is on the verge of turning
flat. We begin most of our sentences with the same word.
We live in the United Kingdom and on www.myspace.com/weyesyouno. Our music,
a kind of eerie, atmospheric indie-rock with elements of noir, contemporary classical
music and surf has been featured on several compilations (including Best of Myspace
UK featuring Bloc Party, Maximo Park etc) and, also, on our first EP, “Everything”.
Human beings who define themselves as ‘critics’ have described our music in the
following ways:
"…surreality and dreamlike ambience that creates a David Lynch like world view....",
UK Music Search
"…beautifully weird", Honey Records, Demo of the Month
“…Everything is so tight and orchestrated so well into a sound that is diametrically in
accord with itself; in other words, it shouldn't sound so very good but it does”, Big
City Redneck, Live Review
We have been awarded "Best Unsigned Recording of the Year" by well-renowned
magazine Playmusic, as well as notching up some radio play on BBC6 Live's Gideon
Coe show, and many college radio shows in the US, Europe,Canada and the UK.
Our “World Tour! Of England!” in the summer of 2006 was a great success with gigs all
around the country, orange suits and dancing, naked men on stage.
We are in the process of finishing our first full-length album, tentatively called “Music
for Beginners”. It will soon be available in your ears.
