Another of those hotly tipped US alt-rock outfits, Voxtrot are the latest band to have wowed audiences at SXSW and CMJ, running parallels with previous critical darlings like The Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene and Tapes 'N Tapes.
Like those aforementioned bands, Voxtrot are another thrilling and vital sounding proposition, all ragged guitar work, joyous melodies and spine tingling goodness.
Latest single from the Austin, Texas five piece BLOOD RED BLOOD is another ragged, jagged work of wonder; an impressive indie rock clatter that sounds like Pavement cross bred with Belle And Sebastian; a swell of romantic melodicism, orchestral majesty and spiralling guitar noise.  Imagine Arcade Fire without the Springsteen infatuation and you’ll be somewhere close to where Voxtrot are coming from.

BIOGRAPHY
Voxtrot hail from Austin, Texas and to date they've released two EP's Stateside through Cult Hero.  Voxtrot's dance floor-filling twangy guitar hooks and surging choruses whirl alongside the gloriously twee splendour of violin, cello, French horn, trumpet and tender, emotive vocals relay open hearted observations in a style juxtaposing melancholy and undeniable joyfulness.  Their reputation for writing deliriously perfect indie-pop songs naturally reached the UK after emerging as firm favourites at both CMJ 2005 and 2006 SxSw music festivals and aided by support by Spin.com and Pitchfork.  The EP is released on Monday 18th September, preceded by an up-front and exclusive download on iTunes on Sunday 3rd September.
Voxtrot are a 5-piece from Austin Texas with a knack for tender and emotive indie-pop songs.  The band have been recieving a great deal of public and media attention following their stunning performance at this year's SxSW music festival.
