THE WHIP - MUZZLE NO. 1

"As a statement of intent, singles don't get much bigger or bolder; MUZZLE NO. 1 acting as a calling card custom built to announce The Whip as a band ready to explode. "

SOUTHERN FRIED RECORDS

Manchester duo The Whip are a band who imagine The Psychedelic Furs colliding head first with Mylo, an explosion of eighties electro pop energy and dancefloor slaying potential.
What we have here with MUZZLE NO. 1 are big anthemic choruses, sparkling synth riffs and 808 drum beats; held together by singer Bruce Carter, the spit for the Furs Richard Butler, all faux wasted Americanisms and stadium filling energy.
Elsewhere here, the BLACK GHOSTS REMIX is all boosch-boosch-boosch beats, just the right side of cheesy and enough schizoid electro madness to make The Chemical Brothers green with envy; thrilling stuff all round really.
As a statement of intent, singles don't get much bigger or bolder; MUZZLE NO. 1 acting as a calling card custom built to announce The Whip as a band ready to explode.
