Doing It Right / Milk Crisis / Willow's Song
MEMPHIS INDUSTRIES

Crash landing with another slice of technicolor, multi-layered good time pop, Brighton based outfit The Go! Team unleash their latest single DOING IT RIGHT.
With their usual mish mash of styles and flavours, DOING IT RIGHT sounds like label mates The Pipettes gatecrashing a party held by The Avalanches; an energised collision of girl power garage rock, electro influenced carnival and pure pop attitude.  As chaotic and cluttered as it is infectious and immediate.
DOING IT RIGHT delivers all the feel good pure pop thrills and amphetamine fuelled deliciousness that you could ever hope to encounter.  Backed with the equally frenzied cluttered pop rush of MILK CRISIS and a hauntingly chilling take on WILLOW'S SONG from Hammer horror classic The Wicker Man; The Go! Team are on thrilling form here.

BIOGRAPHY
Back once again, with their box full of tricks and a fistful of treats it's The Go! Team: the Brighton-based band are currently readying their second album for release at the end of the summer. We can now reveal that the follow-up to 2004's quarter of a million-selling, Mercury Music Prize-nominated Thunder Lightning Strike will be released on 10th September 2007, preceded by two singles, Grip Like A Vice on 2nd July and Doing It Right on 3rd September. The band line up remains the same: Ian (producer, guitars, drums, harmonica, glock), Ninja (vox, recorders, sleigh bells and shakers), Chi (vox, drums), Sam (banjo, guitars, drums), Jamie (bass, noise effects, glock) Kaori (vox, guitars, keys recorders, glock).
The band recorded the bulk of the album in Brighton from August 06 (straight after touring the US with The Flaming Lips and Sonic Youth), with interludes in NYC, London and DC. Unlike the first album this one is a more of a band effort with Chi, Ninja and Kaori all contributing vocals to the album, along with the Double Dutch Divas, Marina from Bonde Do Role, Soulex, the Rappers Delight Club and others.
The album's all about maximum excitement at 100% of the time - unlike the debut it very rarely does it slow down. Single Grip Like A Vice, has nods to early hip hop, electro, trashy garage rock and MBV-style noise workouts. The pure pop assault of Doing it Right is sixties girl group melodies meets evil majorette gang chanting, meets guitar noise. Titanic Vandalism sounds like a blaxploitation movie soundtracked by Sonic Youth while The Keys to The City sees epic brass blasts competing with vocal teamwork from the laydeez. The whole album is brighter, harder, faster, more goddam fun that anything else in 2007.
