OPERATOR PLEASE - JUST A SONG ABOUT PING PONG
Just A Song About Ping Pong / Get What You Want / Crash Tragic / Two For My Seconds / Waiting By The Car
BRILLE

Sounding like a day glo sound explosion between Arcade Fire and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Australian five piece outfit Operator Please are injecting a massive amount of fun and energy into today's indie rock scene.
With debut EP, JUST A SONG ABOUT PING PONG, Operator Please jerk and bounce about with reckless abandon, spitting out glorious punk attitude; a sound that's all spiky guitar stabs, violent violin jerks, frenetic drum beats and frontwoman Amandah's Karen O meets Clare Grogan howl. With lead track JUST A SONG ABOUT PING PONG, the band unleash a frenetic slice of fired up indie pop; just think Bis multiplied by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and you'll be somewhere very close. Elsewhere, the disco punk crossover of CRASH TRAGIC is an energetic explosion of handclaps and spiky riffs and GET WHAT YOU WANT a barrage of infectious melodies and attitude. With crashing piano chords and a mournful violin, TWO FOR MY SECONDS, finds Operator Please in more reflective mood; a slower paced song that shows off the bands sensitive side.
An energetic and explosive debut EP from a band who deserve to be huge, JUST A SONG ABOUT PING PONG finds Operator Please unleashing a handful of songs to get extremely excited about. Alongside The Grates, Operator Please are the most thrilling band to emerge from Australia in years.
