MUMM-RA - WHAT WOULD STEVE DO?
What Would Steve Do?
COLUMBIA RECORDS
Another of those hotly-tipped type bands that usually spring up at about this time every year, Bexhill based 5 piece Mumm-Ra release their new single WHAT WOULD STEVE DO?
Delivering a spirited indie racket that draws parallels with the similarly tipped likes of The View, WHAT WOULD STEVE DO? is a three minute jangle of noisy guitars, excitable vocals and cool synths. A collision between The Killers and The Libertines, Mumm-Ra make a traditional indie rock noise here, catchy choruses and fresh faced attitude are the order of the day, even if the band are basically peddling a sound you'll no doubt have heard countless times before.
Still, what it lacks in originality and fresh ideas, WHAT WOULD STEVE DO? is a single that almost makes up for with boundless energy and enthusiasm; familiar but fun.
