MIT - GOOD BOOK

" decent enough but hardly essential stuff, GOOD BOOKS / AUF AN AUS may find Mit rocking the cowbells and elektro punk sound, but with an ear to the past rather than the future."

Good Book / Auf An Aus
HALF MACHINE RECORDS

As the whole new rave scene continues ever onward, German trio Mit are the latest outfit to emerge with synthesizers primed and yelping vocals ready.
Single GOOD BOOK / AUF AN AUS is a decent if uninspiring slice of wired elektro pop.  Pushing all the right buttons, Mit make all the right Gang Of Four/The Rapture/Radio 4 esque moves, GOOD BOOK all squelchy techno bleeps, throbbing bass rumbles, driving beats and barked out vocal interjections.  It's just that this is a sound that's been done to death by now, Mit not really adding anything fresh or new to the mix, an outfit sounding like an energised mish mash of other bands rather than anything particularly original or inspired.
So then, decent enough but hardly essential stuff, GOOD BOOKS / AUF AN AUS may find Mit rocking the cowbells and elektro punk sound, but with an ear to the past rather than the future.
