Incredible / Still / Save My Life
SELF RELEASED

A UK four piece, Liddington are a band dealing in mid tempo indie, fitting nicely into a pattern of good natured radio-friendly rock.
With the three songs here, Liddington come on like Snow Patrol making out with Idlewild, settling into a groove of emotive vocals, bracing power chords and steady as a rock drum beats.  With a sound that's very US friendly, Liddington deal in songs that resonate with the same anthemic tone as bands like Creed, The Wallflowers and the quieter moments of bands like The Goo Goo Dolls and Hoobastank - suggesting that this is a group with a very real potential of Stateside success.  In fact, the songs here could even see Liddington doing a Bush and hitting American success before the UK wakes up and notices.
INCREDIBLE, with its driving dusty guitar riffs and searching vocal melodies is a case in point as big choruses custom built to fill stadiums ring out in U2-esque fashion.  The slightly less impressive STILL is a more plodding and dull sounding piano ballad that unfortunately comes on like a cut price Embrace at times whilst with SAVE MY LIFE the band get back on track, a slow burning slice of searching rock that hints at the potential and promise lurking just beneath the surface.
Liddington are a band who sound ready made for the big stages, with truly anthemic sounding songs that burn with longing and emotion.  This trio of songs sees them occasionally hitting great heights, and whilst occasionally they may plod slightly and prove ultimately forgettable, this is still an indication of a band on the cusp of massive things.

BIOGRAPHY
Taking their name from the view of the hill outside where Phil (guitar/vox) and Danny (bass/keys) first began writing music together at the age of 16, Liddington was formed out of an ambition to write striking, timeless songs. Parting ways only to go to university, they spent every available hour writing and rehearsing, developing their sound and refining their collection of songs. With the full line-up completed by the addition of Paul (guitar) and Andy (drums), the band’s live sound began to fully take shape. Numerous shows across Swindon, Oxford, London and Cardiff have seen the band headline The Jericho Tavern in Oxford and support the likes of Switches and Kubichek! at Cardiff’s Barfly. Determined to build on their growing momentum, 2007 looks set to be an important year for this promising new band.
