WOODVILLE RECORDINGS
TRACKLISTING Love The World (Original) Love The World (Magik Johnson Mix) Love The World (Flash Atkins Mix) Love The World (Extended Mix) Sounding pretty much like the sound you'd expect to hear if you shut a five year old child in a state of the art recording studio with all the latest do it yourself dance software and a bucket load of sugary sweets; LOVE THE WORLD, the first single from Karoshi Bros is a day glo slice of infectious electro pop.
With childlike female vocals that veer between the charming and the creepy, LOVE THE WORLD is like a twisted nursery rhyme put to a pulsating dance beat, Karoshi Bros treading that fine line between the novelty and the infectious with inspired elegance here. Perhaps not the kind of thing that'll stand up to too much repeated listening, LOVE THE WORLD is a definite attention grabbing affair, one that's sure to at the very least bring Karoshi Bros to the utmost attention of anyone hearing this.
BIOGRAPHY
We Are Woodville - Woodville is a brand music company from Peter Jenkinson and Ben Davis, conspirators on seminal dance label paperecordings which contributed to shaping the face of house music in the 90s, breaking acts such as Crazy Penis, The Problem Kids, Those Norwegians and Salt City Orchestra as well providing a homes for the likes of Herbert, Kenny Hawkes, Eddie ‘Flashin Fowlkes’ and Parisian Erik Rug.
The Karoshi Bros fanned the flames and signalled the time for a new venture building on their past whilst challenging the senses in today’s snowballing media fuzz.
The first release is the Karoshi Bros track, Love the World, a piece of dance floor pop that has come from China via Sweden, London and the North-East of England. There are mixes of peak time mayhem from Magik Johnson, deep tech-soul from Flash Atkins as well as genius animation from Mark Jobe on the forthcoming video. Future projects on Woodville come from the twisted lounge of Heavy Deviance, to the deepness of Flash Atkins and peak-time disco of Weirdo Records' Mat Playford plus genre blurring remixes from across the world.
