KAREN BISHKO - SINGLES FOR SINGLES
SELF RELEASED

TRACKLISTING
Run Run Run
Unfertilised
Tinker Boy

Overblown pop balladeering that sounds like the ultimate take on the all surface no feeling argument, the songs that make up SINGLES FOR SINGLES are the kind of instantly forgettable pop fluff that make James Blunt sound like Jim Morrison.

RUN RUN RUN is an insipid pop ballad bolstered by sweeping orchestral surges, a song employing about every production trick in the book to hide the fact that there's nothing to see here apart from a half thought out chorus and a desire to score a minor hit.

KAREN BISHKO - SINGLES FOR SINGLES

UNFERTILISED is another painfully uninspiring affair with Karen Bishko's cringe inducing vocals and sixth form poetry lyrical observations played out over dull piano chords.

All, best avoided then really.

BIOGRAPHY
“Singles for Singles” is a selection of songs from singer songwriter Karen Bishko.
Until recently she worked as a portrait artist, but has always written songs. Eighteen months ago she took the decision to focus on her music and has not looked back. She has also been performing live for a year.
Teaming up with an eclectic mix of producers including Ian Shaw, Gary Kemp, Jess Bailey and Stephen Lironi, Karen has arrived at her first collection of demo songs “Singles for Singles”.
These are a candid account of life for a single thirty-something woman. Her lyrics are honest and heartfelt looking at the complications of relationships today through her own experiences. Her bittersweet lyrics are set to dreamy melodies.
Karen is working on a musical TV show called "Popstars and Pilots" which has received some media attention recently, and she is also writing a musical called "Therapy Rocks".
