SELF RELEASED
TRACKLISTING Scratching The Surface Gravity Billy Jean (Billy Jean Remix) Broken Titan Remix Of Scarlet Blonde's 'Whatever Whenever' Warewolfs (Remixed By Crimson Death) Coming from the Playstation generation of music makers, Electronicmagnetic Impulses is a producer blending trance, techno and drum n bass to compellingly impressive results.
ALIENS LIKE LIGHTENING is his latest release and from the dark techno reworking of Michael Jackson's BILLIE JEAN to the dense electronica of SCRATCHING THE SURFACE, is a devastating listen. BROKEN is a twisted slice of techno that revels in a sound somewhere between Orbital and Richie Hawtin while TITAN is a driving trance affair that's all serpentine beats and snakelike bass rumbles.
A compelling and darkly hypnotic release, ALIENS LIKE LIGHTENING is an impressive sounding development from Electromagnetic Impulses and one that encourages further investigation.
BIOGRAPHY
Electromagnetic Impulses is: A Music producer of all Electronica Genres. I've been producing Music for 10 years now, I started off using Music 2000 on the playstation; after learning how to structure and arrange music , i moved on to using Ejay...then mid 2006 i got my hands on some more advanced software packages. My music is heavily influenced by Techno..mostly the older minimal style (ie early 90's flava), and more recently by 'Breaks', i've tried to fuse these styles together with a more mellow bass sound whilst keeping the energetic mid-high end synth patterns and so i'm trying to create something different.. my tracks therefor sound like a fusion of house/trance/techno/breaks with a few drum and bass elements thrown in for good measure..i.e amen loops with some darker progressive bass lines..and there's no singing..(that is until i find a singer) Most of my tracks are between 130-150 bpm, although there are a few that reach the 175bpm mark, especially my drum and bass tracks...and my harder techno tracks I also tend to shy away from using preset samples, i like to experiment . I hope you enjoy what you hear ! The plan for me is to gradually develop my production skills and my mixdown/mastering techniques, build a fan base and launch my first album in time for christmas 2007. I now have a few vocalists now on board and we are working on some projects together, the results of which will be announced early 2008
