City Of Lights Before It's Over

London based four piece Circuits continue to indulge their Police obsessions with latest single CITY OF LIGHTS.
Though less glaringly obvious than previous release PISTOLS AT DAWN, CITY OF LIGHTS still finds frontman Benny doing his best Sting impersonations over skanking guitar stabs and staccato drum beats, Circuits making an upbeat indie-pop noise that dips its toe in reggae, punk and ska. This is another case of decent but decidedly unoriginal stuff from Circuits, the band still basically a younger take on The Police, who don't forget where making pretty much the same sounds around three decades ago now.
Still, another decent enough effort from Circuits and another catchy single that'll surely see them prick up a few fresh new ears along the way.

BIOGRAPHY
London based reggae infused punk 4-piece Circuits are to release their debut single on June 12th.
Circuits have spent the better part of 2006 creating a substantial live buzz as well as a loyal following: gigging alongside such artists as The Holloways, Rumble Strips, Howling Bells, Crazy Girl, Sargasso Trio and The Fever, as well as making appearances at FROG@Meanfiddler, Throwing Rocks@Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes and Cargo, as well as too many more of London's less salubrious venues to mention.
"As refreshing as an explosion in an Um-Bongo factory", according to Artrocker.
Inspired by an eclectic bunch of both artists and genres but with their hearts and minds belonging to dub and reggae, they bring you their very own brand of rocket fuelled pop punk at breakneck speed. Drenched with dub bass, Morse code like guitar, relentless drums and melodic hooks: it's frantic, it's fast and twitching with energy.
