KITSUNE
TRACKLISTING To Cut A Long Story Short Both Sides (Version1) You've really got to wonder what Cazals are trying to prove in releasing a barely alternative take on Spandau Ballet's TO CUT A LONG STORY SHORT as a single. Sure this is a more spirited and energised take on the song, but Cazals hardly stamp their authority on proceedings here; a slightly more rocking version of a mid eighties electro pop classic at best, this hardly makes for essential listening.
Flipside BOTH SIDES (VERSION 1) gives the band a chance to show off their original material, but again Cazals hardly make a staggering impression, peddling a sound that lands somewhere between the post punk of The Psychedelic Furs and the new rave of the Klaxons, though without the spark or attitude of either.
BIOGRAPHY
CAZALS hail from the four corners of England (and Milan), and through friendships and tip-offs we combined to make the band we are today. We've signed to the KITSUNE label who were so convinced by the band, that they decided to make an exception to their single and electronic music only policy, and put us in a Parisian studio to make our debut album with Julien Delfaud ( Phoenix, Herman Dune) which is to be released in the new year.
In the meantime check out our Myspace to hear some exclusive tracks from the album and also look out for CAZALS music which is featured as part of Sony Ericsson's Walkman Campaign this Autumn!
